Over the weekend we attended two really rad events in Honolulu. The first a photo exhibition for friend and photographer Nolan Hall at the very awesome Treehouse camera store. There were pupus and Lagunitas and a lot of friendly faces. The store is a gold mine of vintage film cameras and anything and everything you can imagine in the print and film genre, and adoring the walls for the month now are Nolan Hall’s timeless, classic images featuring the North Shore and the icons who pass through including Nathan Fletcher, the Gudauskas brothers, Alex Knost and many more.
The second event, which was just a few blocks away was one part skate jam, one part art show, one part really sick. Put on by Converse, great music filled the air for the wrap up party of a week in Hawaii for Converse and their skate team. Mark Oblow was there on hand doing live art as were many of skating and surfing’s finest. Watch it all unfold below:
