Where can you expect to find GWAR, Doug E. Fresh, and The Growlers all on one fine Sunday you ask? That would be Beach Goth 7. Finally restored to its rightful owners (The Growlers), the festival was indiscriminate to genre but one glance at the lineup and you’ll see a bevy of strictly first-rate legends. Julian Casablancas, Starcrawler, and King Yellowman kicked the roster into overdrive. But if that’s not enough–the staggering art, delectable fare, and genuinely good people sent the message loud and clear: Beach Goth is back and firing on all cylinders.
Still on a high post-festival, Grace Bailey graced us with this tantalizing short film that gives us all the sun drenched, spooky feels we can handle. A vivid black and white visual salute to Beach Goth, it’s worth watching even if you were in attendance.
