THE WY 2019 BLACK FRIDAY WISH LIST Additional Rad Goodies for You and Yours

With the holiday shopping season fast approaching we thought we’d offer up a few goodies for your consideration.

Get um!

You may have seen some mention of late about a new men’s grooming product company called Kelsen. Well, it ain’t just any men’s grooming product company but one which is owned and operated by 4 young dudes we know! Yep, Curren Caples, Sean Malto, Jack Freestone, and Michael February have joined forces and style tastes to create this cool new line of stuff to make you look good, feel good and probably even smell good. The products have a unique cedar scent, certified organic ingredients, and eco-friendly packaging to round out their debut in this new market niche. Cool stuff.

Barong Temple

Barong Temple is a new clothing brand from England. A little bit different, which caught our eye. Kinda diggin’ on these elastic waist boardshorts that are vintage washed and melded with a cool paisley motif. They’re called the Bambu. Nice to see a surf brand come from somewhere other than the velcro valley of Costa Mesa.

Vans Surf Boot Hi

Our friends at Vans have recently been pushing out a new bootie: The Surf Boot Hi. Never huge fans of a surf boot, for obvious reasons, but these babies are seriously legit. They approached it from a performance point of view and the results gifted us a boot to shred in. And at 5mm, they keep the tootsies pretty warm too!

Duke Cannon Soap

We got another package in the mail from Duke Cannon. Love these guys! This time it’s a soap collection based on different soaps mixed with booze! What’s not to like about that!

Ever since one of our founding members, Travis Ferré, left us to pursue other creative endeavors, we’ve all been waiting to see what that next move might be. Wait no more, Inherent Bummer is here. Kind of a longer form blog-style site with various clever observations about mostly surf-related stuff, but with a little culture mixed in for good measure. Of course, all in Trav’s unmistakable tone. Give it a look when you have a few minutes to absorb something a little deeper than today’s social speedway.

What Youth Cyber Monday Capsule

We rolled out a little throwback capsule featuring a well deserved WY graphic. Couple tees and a hoodie. Super limited edition. Free copy of What Youth Issue #9 with every purchase. Drops December 2nd at 12:00 AM Pacific time. Don’t sleep on this one.

For The People

One of the fasting growing industries just happens to have set up shop right next door. Yep, CBD, flower, hemp, etc., is legal here in Cali these days so all manner of the aforementioned is now readily available. For The People (FTP) is a CBD company that makes, among other things, CBD salves which are money when trying to manage certain localized pain issues. And apparently, a bunch of other health-related stuff too. The many ways that CBD works is too long to mention here but the stuff does seem to have its benefits. Get on it!

Patagonia R1 Yulex Wetsuit

A wettie we admire! Patagonia has long been synonymous with sustainable outdoor goods and this Yulex wetsuit design is yet another example. The suit is not only toasty but was crafted to limit carbon emissions in the construction process as it’s made with neoprene-free 85% Yulex® natural rubber/15% synthetic rubber (by polymer content). The natural rubber is derived from sources that are Forest Stewardship Council certified by the Rainforest Alliance, as well as Fair Trade Certified. The synthetic rubber used is chlorine-free. There’s a lot of talk about how we as surfers don’t really “walk the walk” on the carbon footprint stuff, well here’s your chance to get started.
